Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in New Albany, Ohio, is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant and seeks an Area Manager to guide interdisciplinary construction teams and field execution in a large-scale project.

You will help manage schedules, safety, and quality, coordinating with Bechtel, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to deliver on time and within budget. This role requires leadership and strong communication in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10–13 years of relevant experience.
• Alternatively, 14–17 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience managing union craft heavy industrial US direct hire construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support jobsite operations coordinating Bechtel, subcontractors, suppliers, and client activities within the assigned area.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining construction schedules, manpower plans, and material/equipment needs.
• Monitor jobsite expenditures and support cost control efforts.
• Supervise and coordinate field personnel under direction of the Area Manager.
• Maintain working relationships with client representatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and Bechtel standards.
• Participate in safety meetings and reinforce safe work practices.
• Support administrative and reporting functions for field operations.
• Assist in implementation of corporate policies and procedures.
