The role requires extensive CAD work (CATIA V6) and collaboration with multiple teams and suppliers, including DFMEA/DVP&R activities, with potential partial telecommuting.

Qualificações

• 10+ years of progressive Mechanical Engineering experience or 8+ years with a Master’s
• Experience designing exterior automotive components with various materials
• Experience integrating self-driving vehicle hardware/sensors (cameras, Radar, Lidar, antennas)

Responsabilidades

• Lead design, release, and delivery of components for self-driving vehicle integration.
• Design and develop exterior mounting systems and enclosures for hardware integration.
• Identify optimum materials and manufacturing processes for mounting systems.
• Ensure on-time delivery against program targets for cost, weight, and performance.
• Conduct DFMEA and DVP&R activities.
• Collaborate with attribute leads, cross-functional teams, test engineers, and suppliers.
• Support source selection, write RFPs, and evaluate suppliers with Global Supply Chain.
• Use CAD tools and direct CAD personnel on packaging and detailing.
• Support prototypes and production builds for fit and function.
