Job summary

Waymo is hiring a senior hardware engineer to lead end-to-end integration of autonomous vehicle platforms. Hybrid work schedule with collaboration across electrical, mechanical, and software teams in Mountain View and other US locations.

The role requires 8+ years in complex production-grade hardware/software systems, strong cross-functional communication, and proficiency in C/C++ and Python for test automation. Equity and bonus eligible.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of industry experience in hardware/software integration.
• Proven ability to design, deploy, and support production-grade systems.
• Experience with cross-disciplinary collaboration across ME, EE, and SW.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end integration and bring-up of autonomous vehicle platform architectures.
• Lead root-cause investigations across multidisciplinary subsystems.
• Define requirements and interfaces, and architect validation experiments.
• Coordinate with vendor and manufacturing partners to ensure robust delivery.
