Job summary

Waymo, a leader in autonomous driving technology, seeks a skilled engineer to guide development of vehicle body structures for future Waymo projects. You will create layouts in 3D CAD, evaluate materials, and coordinate with CAE teams to validate designs.

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle body structure development and related tooling strategies.
• Proven ability to drive DFM during tooling launches.
• Strong interaction with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Guide development of vehicle body structures using cold/hot stamping, casting, hydroforming.
• Create layouts and package studies in 3D CAD to support production part development.
• Recommend materials and validate with CAE to meet structural requirements.
