Job summary

Waymo LLC in Mountain View, CA, is seeking a Senior Hardware Systems Engineer to lead end-to-end integration for Waymo Driver hardware across platforms. You will guide diagnostics, scaling commissioning, and cross-functional collaboration with hardware, software, and manufacturing teams.

The role requires deep systems engineering breadth, 10+ years in complex hardware/software integration, and a track record of leading multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of systems engineering/integration experience for complex hardware/software systems.
• 5+ years of people management leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute Waymo’s global strategy for systems integration, diagnostics, and field engineering.
• Own end-to-end hardware/software bring-up across multiple vehicle platforms.
• Drive diagnostics infrastructure, tooling, and telemetry for manufacturing and fleet operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Hardware, Software, Systems Engineering, and Manufacturing.
