Job summary
Waymo is seeking a senior Hardware Engineer within its Automotive Engineering and Product Development group. You will shape vehicle architectures and layouts for AV and TaaS platforms, negotiating with OEMs to meet targets while leveraging Catia CAD to build models and communicate designs to partners.

Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Automotive Engineering and Product Development.
- 5+ years in vehicle architecture and complete vehicle layout.
- Experience negotiating targets with OEMs and partners.
- Ability to communicate with Directors and VPs.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (Catia or similar).
Responsibilities
- Develop package targets and vehicle layouts for new platforms centered on AV/TaaS.
- Create platform concepts enabling multiple layouts on a common platform.
- Resolve conflicting requirements with systems and attribute teams.
- Present layouts and targets to OEM partners using 3D CAD sections.
- Drive ELT alignment on new vehicle concepts with compelling demonstrations.
