Job summary

RTX seeks a Principal Mechanical Engineer for a 100% onsite role in Tucson, AZ. The position requires an active DoD Secret clearance and focuses on designing, developing, documenting, and sustaining test environment systems for Raytheon Missile Defense.

The engineer will work across the lifecycle, using CAD tools, GD&T analysis, and drawing-pack creation, with relocation benefits and a competitive salary range. This is a challenging, hands-on role in a premier aerospace defense environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• Minimum of eight years of technical/engineering experience in mechanical design.
• ProE/CREO Parametric experience required.
• GD&T analysis experience.
• Experience creating mechanical drawing packages.

Responsibilities

• Research, plan, and develop mechanical test systems for production testing.
• Integrate and validate test systems against strict accuracy and reliability standards.
• Evaluate installations and propose design modifications to eliminate malfunctions.
