Job summary

RTX, based in Tucson, AZ, seeks a Systems Engineer to shape architecture, requirements, and verification for complex guided and autonomous systems. You will collaborate across software, hardware, controls, navigation, sensors and test to deliver reliable performance from concept to field deployment.

Responsibilities include developing requirements, defining architectures with MBSE tools like Cameo, and leading system-level integration and verification activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5+ years of engineering experience.
• Experience in Autonomy, Controls, Robotics, Navigation, Embedded Systems, EO/IR Sensors, or Real-Time Systems preferred.
• Masters/PhD in Engineering, CS, Math or Physics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve system and subsystem requirements for hardware and software.
• Create system architectures and interface definitions using MBSE tools (Cameo).
• Lead system-level integration across hardware, software, controls and embedded technologies.
• Lead verification and validation activities to ensure requirements are met.
• Perform trade studies and translate findings into data-driven engineering recommendations.
• Mentor engineers and support cross-team knowledge transfer.
