Job summary

NuScale Power, LLC is seeking an experienced engineer to perform design and stress analyses on NSSS components, including pressure vessels and reactor internals, in compliance with ASME BPVC Section III and NRC guidelines.

The role requires a BS in Engineering (ME preferred), 10+ years of ANSYS stress-analysis experience, and DOE 10 CFR Part 810 eligibility. The position supports remote work within the contiguous United States with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering, ABET-accredited.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
• 10+ years of full-time relevant experience with ANSYS stress analysis per ASME Section III.
• Experience in seismic/dynamic analysis is desirable.
• Programming skills (ANYS APDL, MATLAB, Python) are beneficial.
• Eligible to work under DOE 10 CFR Part 810.

Responsibilities

• Perform design and stress analyses of pressure vessels, reactor vessel internals, and primary equipment supports per ASME BPVC Section III.
• Mentor staff and provide technical direction as NSSS Component Analysis Lead.
• Lead cross-disciplinary design coordination and problem solving.
• Ensure compliance with ASME NQA-1 and 10 CFR guidelines.
• Oversee results and make engineering decisions.
