Job summary

Epiroc is seeking a Mechanical Staff Engineer to design, develop, prototype, and test mechanical components and machinery. You will use CAD tools to create and refine drawings, develop part specifications, and ensure manufacturability while addressing root causes of failures in prototypes or existing products.

Responsibilities include BOM preparation, design iterations, and close collaboration with design, manufacturing, and procurement teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience.
• Strong design, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops mechanical products by researching customer needs and exploring solutions.
• Creates CAD drawings and model layouts for parts and assemblies.
• Prepares Bills of Materials and communicates specs to purchasing.
• Performs testing, analyzes results, and implements design improvements.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support development and manufacturing.
