Job summary

A global manufacturing technology leader in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design, development, prototype fabrication and verification testing of products.

Responsibilities include creating and editing models and assemblies, detailing drawings and BOMs, updating production designs, establishing test plans, and collaborating with sales, product management, manufacturing, suppliers, and end users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Responsibilities

• Creation and editing of models and assemblies
• Development of detail drawings, bills of material, specifications
• Update existing production designs and drawings
• Establish test plans to validate new/modified designs or benchmark existing designs
• Prepare engineering changes, process documentation, and reports
• Interface with sales, product management, manufacturing, outside suppliers, and end users
• Analyze customer requirements and test results and propose solutions
• Research alternative methods, components, designs, processes, or materials
• Respond to internal or external technical problems and pursue to resolution
• Produce documentation in the form of bulletins and manuals
• Generate novel and practical solutions to a variety of problems
