Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from ABET accredited university with 14 years experience, or MS with 12 years, or PhD with 9 years.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Expert knowledge of main propulsion systems and auxiliary systems.
- Ability to present information verbally and in writing to internal and external customers.
- Experience submitting RCIA's to the Navy and CDRLs for Navy approval.
- Experience supporting propulsion planning and ship delivery.
Responsibilities
- Research, plan, design and develop mechanical products and propulsion systems for ships.
- Apply advanced technical principles to design, test, and implement electromechanical systems.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across engineering disciplines.
- Present complex technical information in customer meetings and design reviews.
- Support shipboard troubleshooting during construction and trials.
