Job summary

Jobtailor in Pascagoula, MS is seeking a Senior Mechanical / Propulsion Engineer to lead design and analysis of main propulsion and auxiliary systems for naval vessels. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from ABET accredited university with 14 years experience, or MS with 12 years, or PhD with 9 years.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Expert knowledge of main propulsion systems and auxiliary systems.
  • Ability to present information verbally and in writing to internal and external customers.
  • Experience submitting RCIA's to the Navy and CDRLs for Navy approval.
  • Experience supporting propulsion planning and ship delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Research, plan, design and develop mechanical products and propulsion systems for ships.
  • Apply advanced technical principles to design, test, and implement electromechanical systems.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across engineering disciplines.
  • Present complex technical information in customer meetings and design reviews.
  • Support shipboard troubleshooting during construction and trials.
