Job summary
Jobtailor seeks a senior HVAC/Mechanical Engineer in the United States to lead design and testing of Navy-grade HVAC and related electromechanical systems in Pascagoula, MS. You will plan, design, and validate shipboard systems while coordinating with cross-disciplinary teams and Navy customers.
The ideal candidate brings ABET-accredited engineering credentials and extensive experience with LHA8, DDG, and LPD specifications, plus RCIA/CDRL familiarity.
Qualifications
- BS or MS in Engineering from ABET-accredited university with required years of experience as specified.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Senior HVAC design and testing expertise with Navy customer interaction.
- Knowledge of LHA8, DDG and LPD ship specifications and performance requirements.
- Experience with RCIA/CDRL processes and Navy contracting considerations.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading cross-discipline teams.
Responsibilities
- Research, plan, design and develop mechanical products, instruments, controls and mechanical systems.
- Lead thermal hydraulic and heat transfer system development for energy-related applications.
- Provide technical guidance across interfacing disciplines and mentor engineers.
- Engage with Navy customers to discuss advanced HVAC concepts and project status.
