Job summary

EXP is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager in California with a hybrid work model. You will lead the Mission Critical team, oversee design and delivery across multiple projects, and coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams while engaging with a Fortune 500 client.

Requires 10+ years in mechanical design/project management, a PE license, and strong leadership and communication skills. Building design experience is a must; base range is $150k–$170k per year with opportunities for

Qualifications

• 10+ years in project management/ mechanical design.
• PE License required.
• Must be a degreed engineer and hold a professional engineering license.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Preferred data center, mission critical or telecom experience.
• Building design experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review calculations for loads and systems.
• Coordinate with MEPT, architecture and structural disciplines.
• Respond to RFIs and review submittals accurately.
• Develop and size equipment rooms during SD and DD phases.
• Manage scope of SD, DD, and CD documents and deliveries.
• Lead revisions, ASIs and design narratives as required.
• Mentor Designer staff and ensure design quality.
• Deliver projects within budgeted hours and milestones.
