Job summary

Cuhaci & Peterson Architects, Engineers & Planners, Inc. is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to perform calculations, layout systems, and lead design efforts. The role requires PE licensure and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering along with substantial experience.

You will work with Project Manager and Project Engineer to set design scopes, budgets, and schedules, mentoring junior staff and ensuring high-quality construction documents across multiple sectors.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering with PE license.
• Minimum 8 years of related work experience.
• Ability to design and layout systems per codes and standards.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations and design systems per policies and codes with minimal supervision.
• Apply practical knowledge to resolve project issues and conflicts.
• Independently make engineering task decisions for assigned projects.
• Mentor and supervise junior designers and engineers.
• Coordinate design with other disciplines for coordination and final design.
