Job summary

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer focused on Process Systems to support AEDC tests at Arnold AFB, Manchester, TN. This role involves independent design and analysis, leading small to mid-size teams, reviewing design packages, and mentoring early-career engineers.

The candidate will develop mass and heat transfer system designs, perform hydraulic/thermal analyses, create drawings and procurement packages, and ensure installations align with approved designs.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college/university with 8+ years of design experience for complete process systems.
• Active DoD security clearance and ability to access AEDC networks.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs for mass and heat transfer systems including steam, air, fuel, hydraulics, coolants, evacuation systems, pumps, and heat exchangers.
• Provide hydraulic/thermal analyses and develop drawings, procurement packages, and calculations.
• Lead design reviews and mentor junior engineers; review packages for accuracy.
• Coordinate with design team to produce complete design packages and communicate details to the project team.
• Serve as a design engineering lead for a multi-year project and act as a point of contact.
