Job summary

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer- Process Systems to support TOS II at Arnold AFB in Manchester, TN. You will lead design tasks for mass/heat transfer systems, performing complex analyses and mentoring junior engineers.

The role requires a BS in mechanical engineering and 8+ years in process systems design, with active clearance and experience with CAD tools and ASME Y14.5 GD&T. Salaries are commensurate with L09/L10 grades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and minimum 8 years’ experience with design of complete process systems.
• Strong ability to check complex designs and lead reviews.
• Knowledge of codes and standards related to mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs for mass and heat transfer systems including steam, air, fuel, hydraulics, coolants, evacuation systems, pumps and heat exchangers.
• Provide hydraulic/thermal analyses and prepare calculations and procurement packages.
• Independently perform complex analyses and lead design reviews for large projects.
• Mentor early career engineers and coordinate with team leads to deliver design packages.
• Serve as a point of contact for Design Engineering on multi-year projects.
