Rad Source Technologies, Inc. in Georgia is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer focused on machine design. You will lead design translation into prototypes and production‑ready solutions, create 3D CAD models in SolidWorks, perform FEA/CFD analyses, and develop BOMs and vendor qualifications.

The role requires hands‑on work and collaboration across design and manufacturing. Initially you may specialize in design or manufacturing with potential to expand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–15+ years of hands‑on machine design experience.
• Experience with FEA/CFD simulation in a production environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication; collaborative and respectful team approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead translation of design inputs into functional concepts, prototypes, and production‑ready solutions.
• Create and own 3D CAD models (SolidWorks) and manufacturing drawings to AMW standards.
• Perform finite element analyses (FEA) and CFD simulations independently.
• Develop bills of materials, product specifications, and vendor qualifications.
• Conduct validation testing and author build instructions, operating manuals, and supporting documentation.
• Perform Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) on proposed solutions.
• Research applicable standards, listings, and certifications to ensure full product compliance.
• Create and review manufacturing support materials for customer‑supplied models and drawings.
