Job summary

Premier Precision Machining, LLC is seeking an engineer to drive CAD-focused design from concept through production. You will prototype, test, and refine mechanical components using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo, ensuring designs meet specifications and regulations.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, quality, and procurement, managing timelines and delivering robust, producible solutions. A strong emphasis on documentation and continuous improvement is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field preferred.
• Proficiency with CAD tools SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; meticulous attention to detail.
• Understanding of materials science, manufacturing methods, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to operate independently and collaboratively; strong communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• CAD-driven design and iteration of mechanical components and processes (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo).
• Prototype development and hands-on testing to verify function and performance.
• Manufacturing support—transition designs to production and resolve shop-floor challenges.
• Quality management—Ensure compliance with Rand’s AS9100 Quality Management System.
• Documentation—maintain accurate drawings, specs, and process records.
• Cross-functional teaming with manufacturing, quality, and procurement to achieve project outcomes.
