• Proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

Aufgaben

• Create detailed Mechanical designs, assemblies, and drawings using SolidWorks.
• Perform tolerance analysis, material selection, and manufacturability assessments.
• Architect mechanical platforms for laser micromachining (stages, gantries, mounts, enclosures, thermal management).
• Select and integrate lasers, optics, scanners, beam delivery, machine vision, and motion components.
• Design for precision, stability, and repeatability (micron-level tolerances; vibration and thermal drift).
• Coordinate with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams for integration.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, reliability improvement, and design optimization.
• Prepare technical documentation, BOMs, and ensure ISO/ASME/NFPA compliance.
• Collaborate with controls engineers on motion profiles, PLC/HMI integration, and safety interlocks.
• Interface with suppliers and manufacturing on cost, lead-time, and quality.
• Design for manufacturability and serviceability; oversee prototype builds.
• Project manage design projects and mentor junior engineers.
