Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our national Power Generation team.

You will lead a multi-discipline mechanical design group, coordinating with various engineering teams to deliver design, analysis and owner’s engineer support across utility-scale projects. Preferred candidates have extensive experience with power generation systems, strong communication skills, and a track record of timely, budget-conscious project delivery.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET accredited university.
• 10+ years of experience in fossil power or related sectors.
• Experience leading mechanical design teams and projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project mechanical team and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Monitor and communicate project status and milestones.
• Provide mechanical engineering support for detailed design and owner’s engineer projects.
• Develop and review construction drawings, specs, and cost estimates.
