Job summary

Stanley Consultants is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with extensive power generation experience to join our offices. The role involves leading mechanical design from concept to detail, mentoring junior staff, and delivering projects across diverse energy infrastructure sectors.

The candidate will work in a hybrid environment, engaging with clients and cross-discipline teams to ensure compliance with national codes and project requirements.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited four-year college degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 15+ years of relevant power generation design experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 1 year
• Natural gas power generation experience

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical liaison with clients and coordinate mechanical design across disciplines
• Prepare design computations for system design, equipment sizing, and service conditions
• Lead and mentor 2D/3D designers and junior engineers to develop designs and drawings
• Use design and equipment sizing software to prepare engineering documents
• Conduct field or site visits for data collection and observations as needed
• Consult with construction on constructability, sequencing, and field conditions
• Develop process flow diagrams, P&ID, mass and energy balances, hydraulic modeling, and pipe stress analysis
