Job summary

Stanley Consultants is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with power generation experience to join our offices. This role involves leading design efforts for new plants, retrofits, and energy infrastructure, with mentorship for junior staff.

Responsibilities include ensuring design quality, coordinating with other disciplines, and applying industry codes. A PE license or path to PE within a year is preferred, with 15+ years of experience in power generation. Hybrid work options available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college.
• 15+ years of relevant power generation design experience.
• Possess PE, or able to obtain PE within 1 year.
• Natural gas power generation experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical liaison with clients and coordinate mechanical design from conceptual to detailed design with cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Prepare and check design computations for system design, equipment sizing, and service conditions.
• Lead and mentor designers and junior engineers to develop designs and drawings for projects.
• Utilize design software to prepare engineering documents and participate in field observations when needed.
• Ensure constructability and schedule considerations are integrated into project plans.
