Job summary

Stanley Consultants is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with power generation experience to join one of our offices in a hybrid role. You will lead mechanical design from concept through detailed drawings, mentor junior staff, and coordinate across disciplines on diverse energy projects.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years in power generation, PE or PE-eligibility within a year, and a strong background in gas-fired plants, with familiarity in PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment sizing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited college.
• 15+ years of power generation design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or eligibility to obtain within 1 year.
• Natural gas power generation experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design development from concept through detailed design across projects.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and mentor junior staff.
• Prepare design computations, specs, and drawings with minimal supervision.
• Develop PFDs, P&IDs, mass/energy balances, and equipment sizing as needed.
• Interface with clients and communicate technical approaches and status.
• Assist with field observations and ensure constructability considerations.
