Job summary

Stanley Consultants is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with power generation experience to join one of our offices. The role requires 15+ years in the field, with a focus on power projects including gas, steam, or combined cycle facilities.

The candidate will lead mechanical design efforts, mentor junior staff, and collaborate across disciplines on diverse projects worldwide. PE or eligibility within 1 year is required.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of power generation design experience or equivalent.
• ABET-accredited mechanical engineering degree required; PE preferred/required.
• Experience leading mechanical design teams and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical liaison with clients and coordinate design across disciplines (structural, electrical, civil, I&C).
• Prepare engineering and cost estimation reports; analyze data to support decisions.
• Review and check design computations for sizing and service conditions; develop technical specs for equipment and materials.
• Lead and mentor designers and engineers to develop designs and drawings; guide project execution.
• Utilize design software to prepare documents; perform occasional field visits for observations and data collection.
• Consult with construction on constructability, sequencing, and scheduling.
