Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support its combustion turbine fleet and power generation assets in Columbus, GA. This permanent role focuses on reliability, troubleshooting, and major maintenance activities.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in power generation or heavy industry, with gas turbine experience (Siemens V84.2 and 5000F), rotating equipment, and ability to coordinate outages with OEMs, vendors, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience at Senior level.
• Hands-on experience in power generation or heavy industrial facilities.
• Experience with gas turbines, rotating equipment, and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specs.
• Experience coordinating with plant personnel, contractors, vendors, and OEMs.

Responsibilities

• Support reliability, troubleshooting, and maintenance for turbines and plant equipment.
• Plan outages and coordinate scope, contractors, and field work.
• Provide engineering support for major maintenance, upgrades, and new installations.
• Review drawings and equipment documentation.
• Develop lifecycle and maintenance strategies with leadership.
• Coordinate with teams during operations and outages.
