Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in engineering field (Mechanical or Chemical).
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience; strong candidates with 3–4 years considered.
• Hands-on field experience in mechanical equipment, outages, or commissioning.
• Experience with boilers, pumps, valves, piping, heat exchangers, or rotating equipment.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, and vendor docs.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and build relationships with craft labor and leadership.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support to improve plant reliability and long-term equipment condition.
• Plan and support annual outages, including scope, inspections, and contractor coordination.
• Support capital projects from technical specs to commissioning.
• Review drawings, vendor submittals, specs, and calculations.
• Oversee HRSG and high energy piping inspections and reliability improvements.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and systems using thermodynamics.
• Develop and support predictive and preventive maintenance plans in CMMS.
• Coordinate engineering firms, vendors, contractors, and maintenance providers.
• Conduct field inspections, verify installation quality, and support project closeout.
• Provide input on budgets, upgrades, and maintenance priorities.
• Collaborate with operations and leadership for practical improvements.
