Job summary

Stanley Consultants, a leading global engineering firm, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 15+ years in power generation to join our Denver-area team. The role involves leading mechanical design for power plants, mentoring junior staff, and coordinating multi-discipline efforts on complex energy projects.

The position requires a PE or the ability to obtain within a year, expertise in gas-fired and waste-to-energy style plants, and experience with major software tools.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of power generation design experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical liaison with clients on project efforts and coordinate mechanical design development from concept to detail.
• Support preparation of engineering and cost estimating reports through data collection and analysis.
• Prepare and check design computations for system design, equipment sizing, and service conditions.
• Lead and mentor 2D/3D designers and junior engineers to develop designs and drawings.
• Work with design and equipment sizing software to prepare engineering documents.
• Occasionally perform field or site visits for data collection and observations.
• Consult with construction personnel on design constructability and scheduling.
