Superior Skilled Trades is partnered with a company seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer (PE) to join its engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed Mechanical Engineer to contribute to technically complex projects by developing mechanical system designs, preparing engineering drawings and specifications, and supporting projects from conceptual design through construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of professional mechanical engineering experience.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical codes, standards and practices.
• Experience designing HVAC, piping, hydronic and equipment systems.
• Proficiency with CAD and 3D modeling tools.
• Experience with construction administration, RFIs, and site coordination.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical drawings, specifications and calculations from concept to construction.
• Design and evaluate mechanical systems including HVAC, piping and hydronic systems.
• Apply mechanical codes and industry practices to projects.
• Review deliverables for accuracy, quality and scope alignment.
• Lead construction administration activities including RFIs and site visits.
• Use CAD and 3D modeling to create and coordinate drawings.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and contractors to deliver constructible solutions.
• Assist with project cost tracking, scope management and risk evaluation.
• Identify opportunities for technical and process improvements.
• Support ongoing professional development and engineering best practices.
