Superior Skilled Trades is partnering with a leading engineering firm to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer (PE) to advance technically complex projects from concept through construction.

The role emphasizes HVAC, piping, hydronic and equipment systems design, with CAD/3D modeling, and coordination across multidisciplinary teams. Relocation or local residence in approved markets is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional mechanical engineering experience.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering codes, standards, and industry practices.
• Professional experience designing mechanical systems including HVAC, piping, hydronic, and equipment systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations throughout all phases of project design.
• Design and evaluate mechanical systems including HVAC, piping, hydronic, and equipment systems.
• Apply mechanical engineering codes, standards, and industry practices to project designs.
• Review deliverables for accuracy, quality, and coordination with other disciplines.
• Lead construction administration activities including reviewing shop drawings, RFIs, and site visits.
• Utilize CAD and 3D modeling to develop and coordinate 2D drawings and 3D models.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, designers, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver constructible solutions.
• Assist with project cost tracking, scope management, and technical risk evaluation.
• Identify opportunities for technical and process improvements.
