Superior Skilled Trades is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer (PE) in Phoenix, AZ for a direct hire opportunity. The role focuses on leading and supporting mechanical system design for complex projects.

The candidate will oversee engineering deliverables, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and provide technical support through all project phases. Requires PE license and a mechanical engineering degree, with CAD/3D modeling experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• NCEES record for licensure maintenance preferred.
• Working knowledge of applicable mechanical codes and standards.
• Experience developing mechanical designs, engineering calculations, specifications, and construction documents.
• Proficiency with CAD and 3D modeling tools.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical drawings, specifications, and engineering calculations throughout all phases of design, from conceptual planning through construction documents.
• Design HVAC, piping, hydronic, and mechanical equipment systems in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Review mechanical engineering deliverables to ensure accuracy, quality, scope compliance, and coordination with other disciplines.
• Lead construction administration activities, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and conducting jobsite visits.
• Utilize CAD and 3D modeling tools to develop and review coordinated mechanical drawings and models.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver coordinated, constructible mechanical solutions.
• Assist project management with cost tracking, scope management, technical coordination, and risk assessments related to mechanical systems.
• Identify opportunities for technical improvements and contribute to ongoing professional development and process improvements.
