Jobot in Torrance, CA is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to lead the design of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection for commercial, industrial, institutional, and government projects from concept through construction.

You will collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and regulators to develop construction documents, perform studies and cost estimates, and provide field support during construction.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical engineering or a related field is required.
• P.E. License in California or a reciprocal state is required.
• 7+ years of mechanical engineering/design experience in commercial or industrial settings.
• Experience with mechanical design for Public Works, State Agencies, and/or municipal authorities.
• AutoCAD proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for commercial, industrial, institutional, and government projects from concept through construction.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors and regulatory agencies to develop construction documents and cost estimates.
• Provide engineering support during construction, including reviewing submittals and resolving field issues.
