Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for commercial construction projects in California. You will design, develop, and implement mechanical systems, collaborating with architects and other engineers to ensure a seamless integration into the project.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, 2+ years of construction experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Trace 700, Revit, and SolidWorks. PE certification is a plus, with the role based on-site in Gardena, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Trace 700, Revit, and SolidWorks.
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including HVAC or plumbing systems.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement mechanical systems for construction projects, ensuring designs meet project requirements and standards.
• Use AutoCAD, Trace 700, Revit, SolidWorks to create detailed 3D models and drawings.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to integrate systems into the overall design.
• Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems to high standards and timelines.
• Conduct tests on mechanical systems to assess functionality and efficiency; make adjustments as needed.
• Provide expert advice on HVAC and plumbing systems and stay updated with field innovations.
