Job summary

MKS invites engineers to join our Vacuum Valve group in Methuen, MA. In this onsite role you will partner with product management, manufacturing and customers to design, test, and scale vacuum valves from concept to production.

You will perform 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks), run analyses with Ansys or similar, develop test plans, and help ensure manufacturability and reliability, while collaborating across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks preferred).
• Experience with manual and FEA analysis.
• Experience with Vacuum Technology.
• Experience with mechanical fabrication techniques.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product management, applications engineering and customers to understand requirements and develop innovative solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering to ideate, design and prototype vacuum valve development.
• Develop test plans for engineering performance and reliability.
• Design test fixtures and equipment for product performance and evaluation.
• Develop specifications, perform analyses, and create detailed engineering drawings.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and operations to scale designs to volume production.
• Ensure products meet quality, performance, and regulatory standards through testing and verification.
