Job summary

Bowman is seeking an Engineer IV, Mechanical (Oil & Gas) to join our Houston, TX team. The role provides strategic direction, technical oversight, and mentorship to the mechanical engineering discipline, shaping engineering strategy, driving innovation, and ensuring excellence in project execution.

The candidate will lead design reviews, manage scope and schedules, and present deliverables to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering is required.
• 7+ years of relevant experience is preferred.
• PE licensure is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical principles and practices.
• Advanced proficiency in mechanical engineering software and tools.
• Ability to interpret and create technical drawings, schematics, and specs.
• Strong knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and best practices.
• Ability to develop and implement mechanical engineering standards and guidelines.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment sizing and selection, analyses, and other deliverables.
• Support engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of facilities.
• Present engineering and design deliverables to project teams, leadership, vendors, and clients.
• Plan, forecast, and actualize deliverable progress for reporting and schedule needs.
• Identify scope changes and estimate impact on effort and schedule.
• Support proposal efforts by evaluating RFP scope and estimating effort.
