Bowman Consulting is seeking a Senior Engineer V, Structural (Oil & Gas) for our Houston team. The role leads civil/structural efforts, shaping engineering strategies and ensuring execution excellence across projects.

The position requires a senior professional with design, estimation, planning, and scope management expertise, plus effective communication with clients and partners. This role emphasizes technically advanced project leadership and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in structural engineering, civil engineering, or related field.
• Ten or more years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in oil & gas or energy sectors.
• Professional Engineer licensure preferred.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, codes, and sustainability considerations.

Responsibilities

• Perform building sizing and selection, and prepare related analyses and deliverables.
• Support engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
• Present deliverables to project members, leadership, vendors, and clients.
• Plan, forecast, and actualize progress for schedule reporting.
• Identify scope changes and estimate impact to effort and schedule.
• Assist with RFP scope evaluation and effort estimation.
• Work independently within project teams.
• Prepare and review foundation, structural steel, building, and earthwork calculations and designs.
