Job summary

Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. in Houston seeks an Engineer V, Structural (Oil & Gas) to provide strategic direction, technical oversight, and mentorship within the civil engineering discipline.

This senior role will lead design reviews, project planning, and execution across facilities, with emphasis on safety, quality, and client satisfaction. A PE license is preferred, and the candidate should have 10+ years in structural/civil engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in structural or civil engineering or related field.
• Ten or more years of experience in structural/civil engineering.
• Professional Engineer licensure preferred.
• Experience in energy sector projects and standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform building sizing and selection, alternative analyses, and other deliverables.
• Support engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of facilities.
• Present engineering and design deliverables to project members and stakeholders.
• Plan and forecast deliverable progress to support project reporting and schedules.
• Identify scope changes and estimate impact to effort and schedule.
• Evaluate RFP scope and estimate effort for proposals.
• Work independently on assigned tasks.
• Prepare and review foundation, structural steel, building, and earthwork calculations and designs.
