Job summary

Audubon is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for our Metairie, LA office to design equipment, components, structures or systems and lead project efforts.

You will prepare specs, perform calculations, review vendor drawings, and coordinate with clients and subcontractors. Offshore travel and HSSE compliance are part of the role.

Applicants should have a PE license, ABET-accredited degree, and 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with piping and process equipment knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
• ABET-accredited program preferred.
• PE license required.
• Offshore oil and gas experience preferred.
• Ability to travel offshore GOM.
• Active TWIC preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience preferred.
• Knowledge of piping systems and process equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of ASME/API codes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare intermediate to advanced level specifications detailing requirements.
• Prepare sketches, calculations and analysis models for complex projects.
• Review vendor drawings for compliance with project specs.
• Interact with clients, subcontractors, vendors and consultants.
• Manage workload, budgets and project resources.
• Develop and review engineering design packages.
• Visit job-sites to evaluate requirements and conditions.
• Adhere to HSSE standards and safe design practices.
