Job summary

Audubon in Houston, TX seeks a Mechanical Engineering Associate, Principal to lead multi-discipline projects, develop specifications, oversee design of piping systems and process equipment, and ensure compliance with codes and client requirements.

The role requires ABET-accredited BS in Engineering, with extensive field experience and ability to travel offshore; EIT or PE preferred; Caesar II/PIPE-FLO experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required
• ABET accreditation preferred
• Mechanical engineering degree preferred
• EIT certification preferred
• Field experience required
• Industry experience required
• Minimum of 20 years of experience preferred
• Large multi-discipline project lead experience preferred
• Caesar II, NozzlePRO and/or PIPE-FLO software experience preferred
• Knowledge of piping systems and process equipment design

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare advanced level specifications detailing client requirements, design codes, and vendor drawing needs.
• Prepare sketches, calculations and models for complex projects.
• Review vendor drawings for compliance with specifications.
• Interact with clients, subcontractors, vendors and consultants.
• Manage workload, budgets and project resources to meet schedules and budgets.
• Develop and review engineering design packages and guidelines.
• Assess feasibility of projects including costs and time requirements.
• Lead multi-discipline projects and guide day-to-day workflow.
