Job summary

Audubon Companies in Houston, TX seeks a Mechanical Engineering Supervisor to lead a team delivering mechanical design for equipment, components, structures and systems. You will supervise engineers, manage budgets and schedules, ensure project quality and safety, and develop design guidelines.

The role requires ABET-accredited mechanical engineering education, PE license, 15+ years' experience, and strong leadership. Knowledge of piping systems, ASME/API codes and CAESAR II is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably mechanical) from ABET-accredited program.
• PE license required.
• 15+ years of experience in engineering, with large multi-discipline project leads preferred.
• Experience with piping systems, process equipment and relevant codes (ASME, API).
• Supervisory/leadership experience in an engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients, subcontractors and vendors to drive project success.
• Set and manage project schedules and budgets.
• Ensure design deliverables meet quality standards and are technically sound.
• Oversee QA/QC, design checks, and calculations performed by staff.
• Allocate resources, manage workload, and forecast man-hour requirements.
• Develop design guidelines, specifications, and control procedures.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation actions.
• Mentor and evaluate staff performance; handle personnel matters.
