Job summary

Audubon is currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Metairie, LA Office. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will perform mechanical engineering assignments associated with designing equipment, components, structures or systems.

Audubon emphasizes HSSE compliance and delivering projects on schedule and within budget. Responsibilities include preparing specifications, sketches and calculations, reviewing vendor drawings, and coordinating with clients and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
• ABET accreditation preferred.
• Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.
• PE license required.
• Offshore Oil and Gas experience preferred.
• Ability to travel offshore GOM for short durations.
• Active TWIC preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare intermediate to advanced level specifications detailing client performance requirements, design requirements, codes, and vendor drawing requirements.
• Prepare engineering sketches, calculations and analysis models for moderately complex projects.
• Review vendor drawings for compliance with project specifications.
• Interact with clients, subcontractors, vendors and other consultants.
• Manage workload, budgets and project resources to meet schedules.
• Develop, review and approve engineering design packages. Lead small scope projects when needed.
