Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Round Rock is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of nuclear-qualified mechanical components. You will create prototypes, perform tests, and ensure safety and reliability in a heavily regulated environment.

The role requires 6+ years of experience, a Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, and proficiency in SOLIDWORKS. Travel within the US may be required; this is an onsite Round Rock, TX position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 6+ years of applicable experience in a mechanical engineering role.
• Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS and strong technical skills in mechanical engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Act as Technical Lead on design and development of mechanical components and systems, including prototypes and testing.
• Perform calculations and apply ASME Code to design and analysis of qualified nuclear sensors/instrumentation.
• Ensure compliance with nuclear quality regulations (NQA-1, 10CFR, Part 21) and relevant standards.
