Job summary

AVANTech LLC is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design, analysis, fabrication support, testing and implementation for industrial, government, and nuclear applications.

This upper-level role requires reviewing 3D models, 2D drawings, and engineering calculations while ensuring compliance with customer requirements and regulatory expectations, with opportunities for advancement in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program.
• PE license preferred but not required.
• Minimum 10 years of related experience in mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assess and clarify client specifications to establish design scope and technical requirements.
• Provide design oversight to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Perform and document design calculations to ensure compliance with client specs and standards.
• Assist with scope, cost, and schedules for future projects/tasks.
• Provide technical guidance to subcontractors in design, analysis, fabrication or testing.
