Valar Atomics seeks a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to design, develop, and validate mechanical systems for next-generation nuclear power technology. You will lead subsystems, mentor engineers, and drive designs from concept through production, working with cross-functional teams to achieve performance, manufacturability, and cost targets.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of mechanical design and product development experience.
• Proven track record delivering production-ready hardware.
• Experience with CAD and drafting standards.
• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems.
• Experience with FEA/CFD analyses.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Aufgaben

• Lead mechanical design efforts for major subsystems, balancing performance, manufacturability, and cost.
• Mentor junior engineers and review designs for engineering rigor.
• Develop 3D CAD models, assemblies, and drawings with GD&T.
• Perform structural, thermal, and fluid analyses to validate performance.
• Oversee prototype fabrication, testing, and iteration of designs.
• Collaborate with electrical, manufacturing, and systems engineers for integration.
• Work with vendors on DFM feedback and process selection.
• Contribute to internal design controls and documentation standards.
