Job summary

Olympus Controls in the United States is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to join our fast-paced automation team. You will design, develop, test, and commission mechatronic automation solutions for Fortune 500 clients, creating detailed drawings and documentation, and supporting quality systems.

Collaborate with cross-functional engineers, suppliers, and manufacturing to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent required.
• 5-7 years of relevant design experience.
• Experience in machine design using DFM principles.
• Understanding of Six Sigma, LEAN, TQM and/or DFSS.
• Experience with PDM, ERP and CAD software is a plus.
• Experience with mechatronics and automation controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define problems with sales engineers and create statements of work.
• Conceptualize mechatronic designs and 3D concept models for proposals.
• Create detailed 2D drawings and maintain BOMs/ECOs.
• Support FAT/SAT site testing and cross-functional design reviews.
• Travel up to 10% as needed.
