Job summary

Olympus Controls in Oregon is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer II to join our growing team. You will design, develop, test, deploy and support electro-mechanical automation solutions ranging from simple actuators to multi-axis robotics.

As a level II engineer, you will work with Electrical, Mechanical and Application Engineering teammates, create UL 508A compliant schematics, program software, troubleshoot controls, and contribute to project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent; master's degree preferred.
• 2–5 years in automation controls design, coding, or troubleshooting.
• Experience with motion controls, robots, vision systems, and PLCs.
• Familiarity with UL 508A standards and mechatronics concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering team to design and test automation solutions.
• Develop and troubleshoot electro-mechanical control systems.
• Draft electrical schematics compliant with UL508A standards.
• Program application software and test in real systems.
• Support customers; travel infrequently as needed.
• Ensure project execution meets schedule and quality.
