Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, UT seeks a Principal or Sr. Principal Mechanical Engineer to join the Sentinel (GBSD) program. The role requires a Secret clearance, 3–8 years of related experience depending on level, and a strong background in 3D NX modeling and MBSE.

You will work in an IPT environment, develop Interface Control Models, and ensure timely delivery while supporting program objectives and digital transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM bachelor’s degree; 5 years related experience, or master’s with 3 years (Sr. Principal), per posting.
• U.S. Citizenship with active Secret clearance; SAP approval capability.
• Experience with systems engineering principles and design tools like TeamCenter/NX; ability to read technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Work in an IPT environment to engineer design solutions via Interface Control Models (ICM).
• Create 3D NX models defining space allocation and interface detail.
• Deliver ICMs on time to meet program objectives.
• Support digital transformation initiatives related to ICM development and release.
