Job summary

Therma LLC in San Jose, CA, is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer with 6+ years of HVAC experience. You will work on all phases from design to construction administration in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities include load calculations, system layout in AutoCAD/Revit, field verification, and cross-disciplinary coordination. On-site role with competitive benefits and salary range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
• 6+ years of engineering experience in HVAC design-build environment.
• EIT/PE in California preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and Bluebeam.
• Knowledge of California Building Code, Title 24, ASHRAE 62.1/55/90.1.
• Strong communication and teamwork; ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Design heating, cooling, and ventilation load calculations.
• Layout mechanical systems using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Field verification of site conditions.
• Coordinate designs with other trades and attend project meetings.
• Mentor Mechanical Engineer 1 & 2; review junior work.
