Job summary

Therma, a Legence Company, is hiring a Project Engineer in San Jose, CA. This full-time, on-site role supports the Project Manager with planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and project accounting for large commercial HVAC/mechanical projects.

The candidate will work with GCs and owners, help source materials, manage schedules, and prepare detailed project documentation. Required are experience in HVAC/mechanical contracting, construction industry background, and a Mechanical Engineering or

Qualifications

• Experience in HVAC or Plumbing Mechanical Contractor on large commercial projects strongly preferred.
• Experience in the construction industry required.
• Mechanical Engineering degree or related construction degree strongly desired.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must.

Responsibilities

• Assist project manager with overall planning and scheduling, resource allocation, and project accounting.
• Maintain relationships with GCs and Owners.
• Assist in gathering pricing and timing for materials from vendors.
• Manage schedule, billings, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and subs.
• Prepare project documentation and assist with project estimating from drawings.
