Ideal candidates have 10+ years in automotive or electrification hardware, experience with full product development cycles, and a strong ability to mentor engineers while delivering

Qualifications

• Hands-on CAD design experience with battery-pack hardware.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in automotive or electrification hardware.
• Experience taking mechanical hardware through a full product development cycle.
• Strong track record designing 3D CAD assemblies and production drawings.
• Ability to lead cross-functional design decisions and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design battery-pack mechanical architecture, including enclosure concepts and interfaces.
• Develop pack-level CAD layouts and production drawings for enclosures and components.
• Translate requirements; lead safety, performance, mass, packaging, and manufacturing tradeoffs.
• Perform packaging studies, GD&T, tolerance analyses, and defined interfaces.
• Collaborate with electrical, thermal, CAE, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve integration challenges.
• Lead design reviews, DFMEA, and validation planning; drive corrective design changes.
